I think you could be onto something there. If I was to move the text so that it's sitting on top of the black part of the wall, that could look much better.
Working on the image now would mean breaking rule number 1. I've got a couple of ideas for other images along the same lines though, possibly keeping the wall and 'visitor' and just changing the background. I'll try your idea on the next one.

I think moving the text into a single straight line on top of the wall line--making the font color black & enlarging the wall a bit--would work well.
